How we calculate
£5.40 a check, inc. VAT
Every AML Buddy check is £4.50 + VAT at 20%, which is £5.40. Monthly cost is your checks per month × £5.40; yearly cost is that × 12.
5 free, once
Your first 5 checks are free when you sign up, so the first-year figure is 5 checks lower. They are a one-off, not monthly.
10, 20, 50 or 100
You buy checks in packs. We suggest the fewest packs that cover your first year with the least left over. Every pack is the same price per check.
Your numbers only
We add your monthly fee to your price per check × checks, apply any monthly minimum, then add 20% VAT unless you say your prices already include it.

How much does an AML check cost with AML Buddy?
£5.40 per check including VAT (£4.50 + VAT). There is one price for every client check, bought in packs of 10, 20, 50 or 100. There is no subscription, contract or monthly minimum.
Are the 5 free checks included in the calculation?
Yes, in the first-year figure only. Every firm gets 5 free checks once, when it signs up. The monthly and yearly figures show the ongoing cost after that.
Why does the calculator add VAT to my current provider’s prices?
Most providers quote prices excluding VAT, and VAT at the standard rate of 20% is added on top. If your firm is not VAT-registered you cannot reclaim it, so comparing prices including VAT shows what you actually pay. If your figures already include VAT, switch the VAT toggle on.
How is a monthly minimum spend applied?
If your contract has a minimum monthly spend, you pay whichever is higher: your platform fee plus your checks, or the minimum. The calculator applies the same rule.
What does an AML Buddy check include?

Does the calculator compare like for like?
